| Professional Biography | Damien Millen is the CEO of pharmaBank Pty Ltd, a biotechnology development fund. His commercial experience and interest encompasses the development and implementation of corporate strategies for start-up companies. This includes project sourcing, venture capital initiation, IPO development, technology transfer and intellectual property licensing. Prior to his role with pharmaBank, Damien practiced in antitrust, company and IP law in Queensland and New South Wales in addition to serving other corporate counsel roles in Victoria and overseas. He contributes to scholarly journals and teaches and researches in areas related to the biotechnology sector.
Before joining pharmaBank in 2003, Damien was a Principal Consultant at C-Bridge Ltd, a Boston-based technology advisory firm. He facilitated domestic and international legal compliance and risk management (including corporate, contractual and trade practices issues) financial model building, analysis and budgeting, and project management and delivery of organisation initiatives in Australia and overseas. In 1999-2000 Damien was part of the Project Management Group (PMG) charged with developing and implementing Telstra's internet program, Telstra.com. Damien also practiced law at the Brisbane and Sydney offices of Blake Dawson Waldron from 1997-1999.
