Synopsis
This subject examines the various methods used to prepare a court case for trial. The technical skills required to present the client's case most effectively to the court are examined, primarily through the use of 'role plays'. The students, in workshops, are required to prepare and present various segments of the trial process; for example, opening address, examination-in-chief, cross-examination, closing argument. The course also examines the ethical underpinnings of the trial process.
