Synopsis
Biomechanics is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of methods used to analyse human movement, with an emphasis on quantitative analysis. This subject addresses basic concepts relating to the structure and function of the human body using mechanics, observational joint and movement analysis and anthropometry. Topics include
anatomical and biomechanical terminology, joint kinematics and dynamics, power/energy transfer and the musculoskeletal analogy of machines.
