Synopsis
The subject Motor Learning and Skill Acquisition provides students with an overview of basic learning principles underlying motor skill development. The classification, presentation, processing, learning and measurement of motor skills will be examined and related to specific aspects of instruction in sport and exercise. Students will also be provided with an understanding of the relationship between motor learning and skill acquisition to physical growth and development and by recognising individual differences, effective teaching and coaching strategies that can be implemented to facilitate the development of motor learning and skill acquisition in specific populations.
